An affiliate of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadscholar.org\/\">Road Scholar Institute Network<\/a>, RISE offers a diverse curriculum with courses in history, literature, writing, music, religion, current events, art history, technology, physical fitness, and much more. There are no grades, no tests, and no credit. Our members thrive in an environment with no pressure and lots of encouragement, social interaction, and engagement.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Fall 2026 Semester<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Courses are offered online via Zoom, on campus, and at off-site locations in five-week and 10-week terms. Classes meet on Monday holidays.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TERM 1: <\/strong>September 14 &#8211; October 16<\/li>\n<li><strong>TERM 2: <\/strong>October 19 &#8211; November 20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Course Registration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Registration for the Fall 2026 semester opens on Monday, August 17 at 10 a.m. and closes on Friday, August 28 at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>The Semester Membership Fee is $115 for an unlimited number of courses.<\/li>\n<li>You do not need to pay your membership fee until after you register for classes.<\/li>\n<li>The Fall 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivier.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2026\/07\/20260715_RISE_Fall-2026-Course-Schedule.pdf\">course schedule<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivier.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2026\/07\/20260715_RISE_Fall-2026-Course-Descriptions.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">course descriptions<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivier.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2026\/07\/20260715_RISE_Fall-2026-Facilitators-Biographies.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">facilitator biographies<\/a> are available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>RISE Membership Portal<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/rise-rivier.wildapricot.org\/\">RISE Membership Portal<\/a>\u00a0allows you to create your RISE account and register for courses. The portal contains the course schedule, course descriptions, and facilitator biographies. You can register to become a RISE member, renew your membership, and register for courses through this portal.
