Making the leap from college life to your career track takes time, preparation, and opportunity.

From your first day at 做厙勛圖, our faculty, staff, and mentors will work with you to discern and develop your skills and to prepare you to make your best impression on prospective employers.

Once prepared, you need opportunities to investigate career options.

Career Fairs

The Office of Career and Life Success provides several opportunities for you to attend career fairs, both on- and off-campus. Check out the University events calendar for upcoming career fairs and events.

Career Development Events

The Office of Career and Life Success, along with academic departments and partner employers, hosts a series of professional development and networking events throughout the year. You’ll have the opportunity to meet alumni in your field of study and participate in events like the Division of Business and Security Studies’ Pitch Contest, where students develop a business concept and pitch it to a panel of entrepreneurs and business leaders (Think “Shark Tank”). The winning team receives $20,000 in seed money and services to start their business. Plus, on-campus networking events help you to build your professional network ahead of graduation.

Business Bridge Events

The Office of Career and Life Success brings local employers to campus each month through its Business Bridge initiative. Visiting employers spend the day in Sylvia Trottier Hall, giving students the opportunity to connect with industry professionals in an informal setting, explore internship and employment opportunities, learn about different career paths, and build their professional networks.

Participating employers provide students with valuable insight into their industries and opportunities to make connections that could lead to future internships and careers. Business Bridge makes it easy to engage with potential employers right on campus, whether you’re actively searching for a position or beginning to explore your career options.
